Focus on the Family

Focus on the Family is an internationally syndicated radio show heard on over 3,000 radio facilities in North America and in 27 languages in over 160 countries. The show’s host, Dr. James Dobson, is perhaps the most influential conservative Christian leader in the country and the founder of the Focus on the Family (FOF) ministry in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dobson received his PhD in child development from the University of Southern California and is the author of 36 books, many dealing with child rearing and other family issues. He founded FOF in the mid-1970s. Following a television appearance in 1978, Dobson recorded his first radio program calling for a return to conservative, Christian values. The show is now heard by more than 200 million people every day. Focus on the Family was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2008.
